From market maker to introductions
Jesse started on the derivatives desk of a Wall Street investment bank, an FX market maker in one of the fastest rooms in finance. A market maker's whole job is putting two sides of a trade together: reading people, reading intent, and knowing in seconds whether a fit is real or noise.
What pulled him off the desk wasn't the markets. It was watching the men around him, men at the very top, get used and divorced by people who were never really in it. Men who had won everything losing the one thing that mattered, because nobody was in their corner for it.
So he left, and spent the next decade on a harder question than any trade: what actually makes two people work, not for one introduction but for good. Over a decade and nearly 47,000 real conversations.
